ShopAround

Terms of Use

Last updated: 19 July 2026

These terms govern your use of the ShopAround app and related services ("ShopAround", "we", "us"). ShopAround is operated by Responzive Pty Ltd (ABN 22 683 494 108) of Mornington, Victoria, Australia. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms.

1. What ShopAround is

ShopAround helps you compare grocery prices across Australian supermarkets, build shopping lists, share lists with others, and receive price-drop alerts.

Prices are indicative. Price and product information is collected from publicly available supermarket listings and refreshed regularly, but supermarkets change prices, availability and ranging at any time, and in-store prices can differ from online listings. Always check the shelf price before you buy. ShopAround is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Coles, Woolworths, ALDI, IGA or any other retailer. All retailer names and logos are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to identify the source of price information.

2. Your account

You sign in with a one-time email code, or with Apple or Google. You're responsible for keeping access to your email and sign-in accounts secure. You must provide accurate information and be capable of forming a binding agreement to subscribe. One account per person; don't share your account.

3. Free trial and subscription

New accounts get a 21-day free trial with full access — no payment details required. After the trial, continued use of the app requires a ShopAround Member subscription:

Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. Prices for other regions are shown in the App Store or Google Play at the time of purchase.

Auto-renewal

Subscriptions are purchased through Apple's App Store or Google Play and are charged to your store account. Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel any time in your device's subscription settings (App Store: Settings → your name → Subscriptions; Google Play: Payments & subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies, alongside your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Household sharing

A ShopAround Member subscription lets you invite up to three other people (four seats total) to use ShopAround under your subscription. You can add or remove household members in the app; removing a member ends their access through your subscription.

4. Shared lists

When you share a shopping list, the people you share it with can see and edit that list, including items you add. Only share lists with people you trust. When you accept a share, the list owner and other members can see your additions and check-offs.

5. Acceptable use

Don't misuse ShopAround. In particular, don't:

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.

6. Intellectual property

The ShopAround app, brand and design are our intellectual property. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app for your own household shopping. Your shopping lists remain yours.

7. Service changes and availability

We're a small, actively developed service. Features may change, and supermarket coverage may be added or removed. We aim for high availability but the service is provided without guarantee of uninterrupted operation. We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new date, and continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that:

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
