ShopAround ("we", "us", "our") is an Australian grocery price-comparison app. ShopAround is operated by Responzive Pty Ltd (ABN 22 683 494 108) of Mornington, Victoria, Australia. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We are committed to complying with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

| Email address | To create and secure your account (we sign you in with one-time codes — we never store a password). If you use Sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the email or private relay address those services share with us. |

| Store preferences | The supermarkets you tell us you shop at, so we can tailor the app (and understand demand for stores we don't cover yet). |
| Shopping lists, favourites & price alerts | The core function of the app — saving your lists, the products you track, and sending price-drop alerts you've asked for. |
| Push notification token | To deliver price alerts and list updates to your device, only if you grant notification permission. |
| Subscription status | To know whether your trial or ShopAround Member subscription is active. Payments are processed entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play — we never see or store your card details. |
| Search queries & app usage | To improve search results and product coverage, and to keep the service reliable and secure (e.g. rate limiting). |
| Voluntary price reports | If you tell us a price looks wrong, we record your report to improve data quality. |
We use a small number of service providers to run ShopAround. Each only receives what it needs to do its job:
Some of these providers store data outside Australia. Where they do, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the APPs.
Product and price information shown in the app is collected from publicly available supermarket listings. It is not personal information and is not connected to your identity. Prices are indicative and may differ in store.
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest, and your sign-in session is stored in your device's secure keychain. We keep your information only while your account exists; deleting your account removes it. Operational logs are retained briefly for security and reliability, then deleted.
ShopAround is a general-audience service and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
If we make material changes we'll update this page and the date above, and where appropriate notify you in the app.
